NBF XXVII Marks Second Season at famed Superstar Theater
Resorts Casino Hotel marked the third and most successful season for New Breed Fighters in Atlantic City, N.J. Something magical transpired when NBF brought its brand of mma to the historic Superstar Theater. Passion and excitement was rampant when those lights shined on our cage bringing back memories of years past when some of the great boxing matches of all time were fought in this cozy environment. Architecture, acoustics, history and New Breed Fighters add up to as great a night of dynamic entertainment as you will find anywhere. MAGIC is what it is.
The momentum will continue February 6, 2010 as our most ambitious card to date will be our most explosive and breathtaking yet. Twenty-three of the regions best teams will be represented on the 16 fight card which includes three massive Title fights.
James "Jimbo" Hoffman, 3-0, Team Vendetta will be challenging our Super Lightweight Champ Patrick Sabatini, 5-1, Warrior Martial Arts for the interim Welterweight Title. This shapes up to be one fantastic fight which the fans should surely NOT miss. Jimbo is an aggressive fighter looking to take no prisoners while Patrick is a patient and cerebral fighter stalking for the opening to pounce and finish... If styles make fights, watch out for this one...
Kyle Rigby, 3-3, AFS Team Asylum and Thomas Murphy, 3-0 will determine who is supreme in our Light Heavyweight decision. Kyle has developed his skills before our eyes and has allowed us to witness first hand the success of the armature program. Kyle’s improvement has been as great as or greater than any fighter who has ever entered our cage. He is the ultimate example of what hard work and determination can reward. However, he may be facing the most naturally talented fighter he's ever faced in Tommy Murphy. Tommy is a technical yet explosive fighter who can end a fight at any moment. Both combatants’ wills should be pushed to the max.
Our Main event features the welcoming of a new Challenger and team to NBF and the end of an unforgettable New Breed Career. Aaron Sifflet, 4-0 Body Mechanix comes to us undefeated and is challenging veteran NBF Champion Frankie Perez, 5-1, Team Oliviera. Frankie started his NBF career with a loss and hopes to end it on a 6 fight win streak. Aaron will no doubt have other plans for Frankie. Aaron may prove to be the toughest challenge this great champion has ever faced, or maybe we will see the Champion explode into the next phase of his career. We will be sure not to blink during this potential war...
Thirteen other epic encounters headline this ALL STAR card. The first event in our fourth season should start the year off with a BANG!!! The Superstar Theater opens her arms for the new memories from the historic confrontations yet to come.
